From my experience, as parts of people slow down, for whatever reason, tissue thickens and the nerves that need to slide and glide through that tissue start to get squeezed a bit until the tissue hardens over time as movement continues to slow until it stops and then hurts because the nerves are essentially squished by thick, hardened, and tight tissues. The problem is this dysfunction happens so slowly it goes unnoticed until one day, you wake up in pain or you suddenly realize your range of motion sucks. If you are getting older, you might be tempted to accept and normalize aches and pains as a result of your body getting older. Well. that ain't it.
From my perspective, chronic pain is a blend of movement problems and thickened fascia problems and the solution is quite simply to mobilize parts that have slowed or stopped moving by releasing fascial restrictions and increasing range of motion. While it is possible for people to do that on their own, it often takes some education and training to be effective. That's where I come in. I can do the hands on work to release restrictions, get you moving better and teach you how to stretch and exercise yourself to continuing mobilizing your stuck parts at home.
If you have noticed parts of you that don't move like they used to or if you have been in pain for a while, come in and see me. I am still running a couple promotional sessions. A free 30 assessment session that will include some movement tips and a taste of the way I work in the fascial system or half off an hour appointment, which will be $50.
